Dynamic, a great year for Oregon Pinot and this is one of the best. “Ripe dark berries, cherry cola, licorice and a hint of potpourri on the deeply perfumed nose. Smooth and expansive on the palate, offering pliant, spice-tinged boysenberry, cherry liqueur and floral pastille flavors complemented by a smoky mineral flourish. The cherry character carries through the long, gently tannic finish, which echoes the licorice note. 20% new oak.”

Poets Leap 2017 Riesling
$50.00
Washington, Columbia Valley Winemaker Notes: Inspired by the great wines of Germany and winemaker Armin Diel, proprietor of the renowned Schlossgut Diel. Each vintage of Poet’s Leap uses small lots of hand-harvested grapes that are carefully sorted, whole cluster pressed and then fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks to capture the grapes’ bright fruit character. Poet’s Leap is an off-dry Riesling with expressive, spicy aromatics and generous, lively flavors. Bright acidity gives the wine its vibrancy, and a clean underlying touch of sweetness contributes to its engaging finish.

J. Christopher "Cuvee Lunatique" 2018 Chardonnay
$65.00
Oregon, Willamette Valley Winemaker Notes: The Cuvée Lunatique is a fresh and clean Chardonnay that is made in a style similar to the white wines of the Mâcon in Burgundy. To preserve its bright fruit and crisp structure, it is produced mostly in stainless steel, with no malolactic fermentation. A part of this cuvée was matured in a large, neutral oak cask to give it a bit more mid-palate texture, but still does not impart any oak taste to the wine.

Cristom Viognier
$62.00
The Cristom Estate Viognier exhibits the pure, and nearly textbook, characteristics of this varietal, with aromas of orange blossoms, honeysuckle, clover and anise as well as the ripe fruit aromas of peach, apricot, and lychee. Round and viscous on the palate, the wine is drier than the exotic fruits on the nose would lead you to believe. The attendant alcohol of this varietal is very well integrated in this perfectly balanced wine. Bright and mouth-watering acidity support the fruit superstructure of this wine

Menu
Valdo NV Prosecco
$40.00
Italy, Veneto Winemaker Notes: This easy Brut Prosecco opens with a light, luminous appearance and tonic bubbling. Aromas of dried flower and crushed white pepper give the wine a tight, linear finish.
Sokol Blosser "Blue Bird Cuvee" Sparkling Blend
$60.00
Oregon, Willamette Valley Winemaker Notes: The Bluebird Cuvee Sparkling is designated as a Brut level of sweetness. Expressing aromatics of lychee and baguette. There are notes of spiced apple cider on the nose and on the palate, and the finish is crisp pear with bright acidity and fine bubbles.
Veuve Clicquot "Yellow Label" NV Champagne Blend
$150.00
Reims, France Winemaker Notes: Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label is the signature champagne of the House. Dominated by Pinot Noir, it offers a perfect balance of structure and finesse. First, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label looks beautiful: golden-yellow, with a foaming necklace of tiny bubbles. Next it is so pleasing to the nose: initially reminiscent of yellow and white fruits, then of vanilla and later of brioche. Note the fine balance between the fruity aromas coming from the grape varieties and the toasty aromas, the result of the three years of bottle aging. The first sip delivers all the freshness and strength so typical of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label with a symphony of fruit tastes following (pear, lemon). Here is a true member of the Brut family, well structured, admirably vinous. The lingering aromas echo and re-echo, with each fruit or almond notes distinct. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label manages to reconcile two opposing factors - strength and silkiness - and to hold them in perfect balance with aromatic intensity and a lot of freshness.
Dom Perignon "Brut" Champagne Blend
$325.00
France, Champagne Winemaker Notes: On the nose: The immediate impression is of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet. A floral, fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens into candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, along with hints of licorice. On the palate: The wine's opulence – contained and succulent, round at heart – reveals itself in the mouth. The envelope slides and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and edgy, silkier than it is creamy. The whole eventually melts into an exquisite bitterness tinged with the briny taste of the sea. The weather in 2006 was mixed, but warm and dry overall. While July was scorching hot, August was unusually cool and wet. The almost summery weather in September made the vintage possible by drying out the few patches of botrytis and maturing the grapes far more than usual. The harvest began on September 11 and lasted nearly four weeks.
Piper-Heidsieck "Rare" Brut 2002 Sparkling Blend
$390.00
France, Champagne Wine Maker Notes: The flagship release is the 2006 Champagne Rare, a 70/30 split of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that’s a cellar selection from 8 different Grand Cru vineyards. Tight, backward, and straight-up structured, it offers brilliant notes of stone fruits, toasted brioche, white flowers, and obvious minerality. Needing plenty of air to show at its best, this beauty has a wonderful mid-palate, a racy mousse, and the balance and class to cruise for over two decades in cool cellars.

J. Christopher 2018 Basalte Pinot Noir

Chehalem Mountains, Oregon, Unfiltered Winemaker Notes: The Basalte Pinot Noir is selected from vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains. The extremely rocky, fractures basalt subsoils in this area produce wines with great balance and a rocky minerality
Good fellow "Ribbon Ridge" 2020 Pinot Noir
$65.00
Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton Winemaker Notes: We have a technical term for a wine like this: stupid-good. Up front and dynamic, showing beautiful mixed berries and subtle, spice-laden structure beneath. The product of a clearly outstanding vintage for Whistling Ridge Vineyard, this wine's source, and for Goodfellow, where's there is so much fantastic raw material that a banging single-vineyard Pinot noir has a more basic label designation and a super-modest price tag.
Domaine Roy & Fils Incline Pinot Noir
$135.00
Dundee Hills, OR Winemaker Notes: The Dundee Hills Incline from our Iron Filbert Vineyard has flamboyant aromas of nectarine, raspberry, hibiscus and rose. On the palate, it shows a deep intense flavor profile, rounded by silky tannins. Although this wine has lots of flavor concentration, it maintains a remarkable balance. We anticipate it will drink well
Domaine Serene "Evenstad Reserve" 2019 Pinot Noir
$165.00
Oregon, Willamette Valley Winemaker Notes: The art of blending has been the hallmark of the Domaine Serene winemaking program and one of the most important steps in crafting wines of distinct and unique character for over 30 years. Another truly exquisite offering to enjoy now, but also to cellar for graceful aging.
Domaine Serene "Jerusalem Hills" 2019 Pinot Noir
$225.00
Oregon, Willamette Valley Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby-red in color, the 2016 Jerusalem Hill appeals with aromas of thyme, pomegranate, baking spices, and slate. It has superb delineation and palate precision, with a light-plus to medium body and packing more flavor than weight. The low alcohol allows the terroir to show every detailed facet and nuance. The tannins are soft, supporting and integrating very well with the multitude of fruit, herb, and floral flavors. This wine will drink very well from 2020 to around 2030

Amavi Syrah 2019
$70.00
Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley Winemaker Notes: We rang in 2017 with three arctic fronts that brought temperatures down to -10 in the coldest areas. This was followed by a cool, wet spring that pushed bud break back by two weeks. We opened our canopies early to allow additional sunlight and promote growth. Early summer was very warm, which accelerated the season and pushed ripening back on track. During the heat spikes in August we had a very slight haze that kept us from hitting the triple digits. As we rolled into harvest, the winds changed and our skies cleared. The weather in Walla Walla was ideal, with our usual long warm days and wonderfully cool evenings. “The result was another amazing vintage with nice yields of bold fruit with great acidity,” says Winemaker and Partner Jean-François Pellet. SMELLS LIKE: dark rose petal, black cherry gelato, fresh ground nutmeg TASTES LIKE: elegant black fruit, wet river rock, hint of sweet brine MOUTHFEEL: balanced & complex front to back, full of beautiful tannins DRINK WITH: baby back ribs, BBQ chicken, burgers – anything grilled
Deuce Cellars "Reserve" Syrah
$75.00
Walla Walla Valley, WA Winemaker Notes: The 2018 vintage is drinking absolutely beautifully right now and was a great year for wine growers in Walla Walla. Rich and dark fruit, almost cab like earthiness which balances the Syrah fruit very well. The age has worked well integrating all of the complex flavors and you experience a mature, well rounded wine. Tocchini Notes: A very recent introduction for me on this one, but it feels like it fits a Walla Walla slot that we don’t normally populate. Dennis, you’ll love this one. These folks are 35 year Lake O residents who In 2005 planted two acres of Syrah in an old river bed in the NE corner of the Walla Walla valley between Abeja and Charles Smith vineyard. It’s a BIG wine, but nimble on it’s feet, like William Perry. Extra points if you get reference!!
Abeja 2019 Syrah
$98.00
Walla Walla Valley, Washington Winemaker Notes: Complex and compelling, this estate-grown Syrah sends up smoky notes of cured meat, nougat and caramel. Black cherry fruit anchors the barrel notes, and it just gets more and more delicious as it winds its way across the palate. This demonstrates classy winemaking and perfect balance. The fruit for this wine is grown at an elevation of 1310 feet on the grounds of the Winery. The higher elevation and the proximity to the Blue Mountains, gives this vineyard a longer, cooler ripening season than most other areas of the Walla Walla Appellation. The cooler site results in a style much like that of a classic Northern Rhone with complexity and balance without the concentration and higher alcohol levels of Syrah produced in warmer areas.
Sequel "John Duval" 2018 Syrah
$125.00
Washington, Columbia Valley Winemaker Notes: Deeply concentrated with vibrant aromas and flavors of dark cherries, wild blackberries, smoked meats and spicy oak. Dunham Cellars "Baby Bear" 2017 Syrah
$145.00
Washington, Columbia Valley Winemaker Notes: Coming from the Colombia Valley and all Syrah, the 2015 Syrah Baby Bear spent 30 months in barrel prior to bottling. Saturated purple-colored (to the rim), with a stunning bouquet of spiced plums, smoked blueberries, ground pepper, and barbecued meat, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, sweet tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. As always, it's impeccably made and one serious wine.

Doubleback 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
$210.00/750 ml
$420.00/Magnum
Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley Winemaker Notes: I can’t say enough how much I love the 2018 vintage and this wine - an absolutely stunning year and a vintage that shows a winemaker how great wines can really be. I tasted this new Doubleback Cabernet Sauvignon over a week and it kept getting better and changing in complexity. One true challenge is creating a wine that will age for decades but will also drink well on release. I think 2017 accomplished that to perfection. Crème de cassis, black currant, blackberry, wafts of dried cranberry, a hint of wet gravel after a fresh rain and pencil shavings. The richness of this wine is a love affair- chewy tannins and a long, long finish is something that I truly gravitate towards in wines that I enjoy on a personal level and it is on high display here. Everything is in balance

Justin 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
$60.00
California, Paso Robles Winemaker Notes: Deep purple ruby core, slightly lighter at the rim showing slight staining on the glass. Aromatic with black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, attractive oak and complex cigar box notes with cocoa and a subtle purple floral note. Dry, moderate plus bodied, with ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and a touch of red fruit brightness on the entry. Balanced oak, vanilla spice and brioche notes mixed with classic savory cabernet varietal cues mingle on the mid-palate. The finish is moderately long and fresh with sustained rounded fruit and lingering baking spice balanced nicely by firm, smooth tannins. This is a perfect go-to red that’s great with variety of pairings from pasta Bolognese to Wagyu burgers, or try it with a variety of freshly baked wood-fired pizzas. Its versatility is amazing.

Alexander Valley, California Winemaker Notes: Aromas of black cherries wrapped in a spice box of nutmeg, clove and allspice jump from the glass. The palate is filled with flavors of black currants and plum that lead seamlessly to silky tannins and black cherry notes. Blackberry, Mission fig and black cherry notes linger on the finish. The combination of elegance and intensity make it a fitting vintage to celebrate 40 years of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy now after decanting for 30 minutes or cellar through 2035. The wine’s earthiness even complements vegetarian dishes, such as mushroom risotto, ratatouille or roasted root vegetables.
Antica "Antinori Estate" 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
$125.00
California, Napa Valley Winemakers Notes: Nestled high upon Atlas Peak, in the eastern mountains of the Napa Valley lies a majestic property, owned by one of the “royal families” of winemaking; this property is Antica. The name Antica is a combination of the last name Antinori and California, and represents the Antinori family’s longstanding desire to craft exceptional estate wines that are a true expression of Napa Valley terroir. The Antinori family’s winemaking history has been synonymous with the famed wine growing regions of Tuscany and Umbria since its inception more than 600 years ago. Marchese Piero Antinori first visited and fell in love with Napa Valley in 1966, after which he dreamt of producing an Antinori Napa Valley wine. In the mid-1980s, the opportunity presented itself; a 1,200-acre estate on a high plain, in the eastern mountains of Napa Valley. Antinori knew that the property’s Atlas Peak location had great potential for growing quality wine grapes, so the family took part in developing the property. Situated above the fog line, the Antica estate offers a mix of steep, rocky soils in its higher elevations and loamy, well-drained soils in the lower ones. There are more than 50 blocks within the estate, a true patchwork quilt that takes advantage of the variations in soil, elevation, and exposure to best match varietal, rootstock, and clone to attain the ideal expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. The high altitude (1,800 feet) means cooler daytime temperatures, which provides a long growing season, and gives the grapes complexity, enhanced textures, and dark colors. The steep, rocky and well-drained soils result into low yields (three pounds) per vine, but the fully ripened grapes show great structure with concentrated fruit, and focused and persistent flavors. Tannins are ripe, balanced, and integrated.
Cardinale 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2014 has the signature structure of Cardinale and showcases Asian spice, blackberries, sweet black cherry, a touch of cedar, and a lush tannin expression that carries on the tradition of this wine at the highest level. Blend: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot "Critical Acclaim" Wine Enthusiast Score : 97 Jeb Dunnuck Score: 96 Wine Spectator Score: 93
Silver Oak "Napa Valley" 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
$210.00/750ML
$400.00/Magnum 2015
California, Napa Valley Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby in color, the 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an opulent wine with notes of cassis, ripe raspberry, toasted coconut and shiitake mushroom. This wine has a rich entry, depth through the mid-palate, great structure without being heavy and exceptional length on the finish. Fresh cherry flavors balanced with floral notes and a subtle hint of black pepper add a beautiful complexity. Plush tannins lend to its age worthiness. Given proper cellaring conditions, this wine will show beautifully through 2040. Blend: 78.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 3.5% Cabernet Franc, 2.3% Petit Verdot, 0.3% Malbec
Caymus "Napa Valley" 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
$310.00/Magnum
California, Napa Valley Winemakers Notes: Caymus has a signature style that is dark in color, with rich fruit and ripe, velvety tannins – as approachable in youth as in maturity. We farm Cabernet grapes in eight of Napa’s 16 sub-appellations, with diversification enabling us to make the best possible wine in a given year. This Cabernet offers layered, lush aromas and flavors, including cocoa, cassis and ripe dark berries. Score: 93 Wilfred Wong of Wine.com
COMMENTARY: The just-released 2019 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet could be the 49th vintage of this iconic brand I have tasted (I'll have to check my notes, I may have missed one or two)—my favorites have been the 1972 and 1973 vintages. Over the last two decades, the wines have amused me as they have taken intriguing turns in the road. The 2019 vintage, the winery's best in recent times, is exciting and profound. TASTING NOTES: This wine shows up with the lasting power of black fruit and licorice. Its layers of persistent and formidable fruit could turn a semi-vegetarian into a carnivore.

L'Ecole 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
$80.00
Columbia Valley, Aromas of barrel spice, coffee, cherry, bittersweet chocolate, graphite and sautéed herb are followed by textured cherry and chocolate flavors. There's a pleasing sense of brightness to the acidity and deftness to the rich, creamy coffee and bright cherry flavors that keep the interest high. Plenty of tannic structure holds it all together. Coffee notes linger on the finish. It's far from a big bruiser and needs some time to all integrate but brings and abundance of rewards. Best after 2026 with a very long life beyond that.
Spring Valley Vineyard "Uriah" Red Blend
$85.00
Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley Winemaker Notes: This wine is a blend of 43% Cabernet Franc, 38% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. Aromas of whole green pepper, fresh herb, cocoa and cherry lead to lighter-styled fruit flavors backed by lightly grainy tannins. Those looking for big and bold, look elsewhere. This one is all about sophistication and elegance and it delivers both in abundance.
Pirouette "Philip Melka" 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Verdot, Merlot
$125.00
Columbia Valley, Washington Winemaker Notes: Philippe Melka and Agustin Huneeus, Sr. teamed to combine the traditions of old world winemaking, the advancements of new world technology, and small lots from Washington State’s finest vineyards to craft this enticing red blend. Sweet aromas and flavors of ripe plums, mocha, licorice and spice are complemented on the palate by a rich and silky texture. The overall integration of the wine provides a fresh and pure impression of dark fruits with remarkable structure and a longlasting finish. Cabernet Sauvignon from established vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills contributed texture and earthiness; old vine Sagemoor Cabernet adds another layer of richness and structure. One-third of the blend relies on Red Mountain grapes to give the wine its dark color and added backbone. Grapes from the Wahluke Slope (25%) contribute bright, juicy character. Varietal Composition: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon 22% Merlot 9% Cabernet Franc 6% Petit Verdot
Chester Kidder 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc
$140.00
Washington, Columbia Valley Winemaker Notes: Coming from a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Syrah, and 6% Petit Verdot, this enticing and intense blend from winemaker Gilles Nicault spends 30 months in French oak barrels with 85% being new. A gorgeous deep ruby color in the glass, the nose explodes with aromas of black plum, black currant compote, ground cinnamon stick, eucalyptus, white tobacco leaf and a touch of butterscotch roasted marshmallow. The palate is more savory than fruit-forward than the nose, with dark cherry fruits playing second fiddle to saline, iron, bacon fat, toasted black peppercorn and dried thyme. It’s a complex and beautiful wine that will need another year or two in bottle to come into its own. Highly recommended.
L'Ecole No. 41 "Apogee" 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
$125.00
Washington, Walla Walla Valley Winemaker Notes: Ferguson’s flavor profile is distinctly influenced by its basalt soil. This wine offers complex aromas of espresso, tobacco, and dark mineral-laced fruit. Wild blackberries and dusty tannins integrate with flavors of flint and graphite on the palate. Concentrated natural acidity leads to a robust and lingering finish. Blend: 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 7% Malbec
Saggi "Ambrogio Folonari' 2018 Red Blend
$110.00
Long Shadows Series Columbia Valley, WA Winemaker Notes: Among Tuscany's oldest and most prestigious wine families, Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari teamed with Allen Shoup to produce a wine that showcases Washington State's terroir with plenty of Italian character. Saggi (meaning "wisdom") is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah.
Budbreak was later than usual in 2017 due to a cool, wet spring, but temperatures warmed nicely for bloom. Conditions moderated in early summer before warming again in July to drive total heat accumulation a bit above average for the season. Harvest began towards the end of August, then temperatures cooled considerably in mid-September to extend hang time and allow the grapes to reach full physiological maturity without spiking sugars. The resulting wines are rich and expressive, displaying excellent acidity and structure that is reflective of the quality of the vintage.
Handpicked grapes were gently crushed and fermented in small, two-ton tanks. Then, using a technique called saignée (French for “to bleed”), 5-10% of the juice was removed from the tank at the beginning of fermentation to increase the proportion of grape skins to juice. This results in a richer, more concentrated wine. Small lot, extended maceration for an average of 30 days provided refined tannins and a silky mouthfeel. Aged 18 months in all French oak barrels (60% new).
Abeja 2019 Caernet Sauvignion
$125.00
Aromas of barrel spice, coffee, cherry, bittersweet chocolate, graphite and sautéed herb are followed by textured cherry and chocolate flavors.
